Because love is blind. Because you can not be rational about love! It is the strongest emotion & when it has you in its clutches you will be governed by emotion rather than reason. Anyone who says they can be logical about love is not in love!
Just my opinion but then I'm a hopeless romantic who lets her heart rule her head so what the heck do I know?! Tee hee
:)
Good luck!
Love may be a harrowing experience but it's still the most beautiful thing out there...

My friend, may I explain you my opinion about "rational"?
Our minds (or let me say "logic") are not independent. They act (or react) according to something else, e.g.: instinct and values.
Sometimes these factors fight each other, and that's why sometimes we do something we don't want to do. In your case, the problem is a bit complicated (because it involves hormones that affect your brain), but it's quite typical.
My suggestion is, don't just follow your instinct and hormones. It's a bit difficult, but try to consider the good things and bad things about your love. Think about your future also, so that you may make the correct decision. Be consistent, although it is tough. After a while, you will feel the difference.

You can't.
You learn and grow from all the challenges and experiences sent your way. Challenges were not sent to you to make you stop they were sent to make you a stronger, wiser person. You keep your head up as hard as it may be and you move forward with your goals. If you ever stop looking at your goals then the going gets rougher than it should be.
Don't ever be afraid to offer love or love. If it does not come back to you it was not meant to be and you move on. If you prevent yourself from loving you may end up more confused and unhappy than you would loving and loosing.
Make the best of your life no matter what is thrown in it.

It happens because you lack love for yourself. Take all that love you have and rather than directing it at someone who doesn't appreciate it, direct it at yourself. Adore yourself the way you feel you deserve, because you do deserve it. You are your own solution.
If you don't do this the same relationship problems will keep coming up no matter who you're with.

Take your time by knowing the person, like be friends at first and see how things evolve. Usually if you have one single doubt about a person, then pay attention to it, and don't jump in right away.

You cannot be rational about emotions. You however can be rational about actions. You cannot stop emotions. You can stop yourself though. You do not control your emotions and they do not control you.

bcoz we can't stop what we feel.
they say "mind over body, but it doesn't say "mind over heart"
yeah its hard to stop what we feel..like if we're hurt, or lonely, or sad, shedding tears is hard to stop.
