If it's a secret you should leave it a secret unless it is crimminal. If it is something that you have done and you need to be forgiving for, go to the True God and seek His advice regarding what to do and ask forgiveness for it.
If it's a secret that someone shared with you and it is not crimminal or illegally immoral than keep it a secret or you will be violating a trust and your integrity will be gone.

If you really, really, really have a burning secret that you want to share but for whatever reasons don't want to tell anyone you know for fear of scrutiny or leakage, go way, way, way outside of your town and tell it to a person that you believe will be nice enough to listen. In fact, I have come across many of female companions in this manner. But if this secret incriminates yourself or someone close to you, I suggest you leave that secret with your God.
