two periods ago (in Dec), my period was only 3 and a half days and lighter than normal. then about the 5th day i was lightly bleeding again. keep in mind we are trying to conceive. we have sex everyday. then my period in Jan was normal, my ovulation time came and we had sex everyday. now my nipples are so sore, im having abdomen cramps and backaches and im more tired than usual but i just ovulated about two days ago. and i have a family history of pregnancy problems. for instance, my grandma had her period six months of her pregnancy, my aunt didnt get pregnant until ten years after trying, my aunt had two miscarriages then she had two kids, my cousin has been trying for four years but her periods are regular and my other cousin had two miscarriages then four girls. im confused... am i or am i not?

I have to agree. Calm down, take a deep breath and schedule an appt with your doctor for a Quantitative Beta HCG test. This will give you a count of hcg hormone present in your blood if you are indeed pregnant.

Please keep in mind that your hormones are technically supposed to double every 48 hours. So, if you are pregnant, the longer you wait to test , the better the result will be.

It is usually recommended to test after the first day of your missed period for better results. From there, if the test is negative and you are still having symptoms a week later, take another test to see if the hormone has built back up. Some pregnancies produce a low amount of hormones at first.

So waiting is the best bet.

Good Luck!

You will not know for sure until you take a test. I had the same symptoms when I was pregnant along with nausea and vomiting. but I also had the same symptoms when I was trying to conceive and could not. It turned out that I had poly-cystic ovarian syndrome and this caused very irregular periods and many of the symptoms you listed. Ask your doctor if he thinks this could be your problem. Mine treated the problem with a low dose of insulin. For some reason it works and I was pregnant in less than two months. Good luck,

Pregnancy tests are not accurate until 1-2 weeks after ovulation.

It really all depends. You can still get pregnant after you ovulate or before you ovulate. I would say just hang in there and take really good care of yourself and when it comes time for your period then take a test and see what it says. I hope all is well

Only way you're really going to know is to go to your doctor, although it does sound like you very well might be pregnant.
