I know that every one does code AMBER now but what happened to the code ADAM that used to be the thing that every one said when a child was missing

you are confusing the issue....
CODE ADAM is for a missing child in a store or event.
AMBER ALERT is for children who may be in vehicles being transferred from one state or province to another...

code adam is used in stores...amber for vehicles and such....with an adam code every employee is given a specific area to check and doors are locked

code adam is used in retail stores when a child is reported missing. when it is called they perform pretty mucha a lock down on the store and everyone seaches for the child.
