I think it may have been a Walt Disney movie, but maybe not. I also thought Patrick Dempsey played in it, but couldn't find anything about the movie from the list of movies of his. From what I can remember, there is a guy and a girl that are in high school and are huge geeks. So they decide to workout and make themselves over so they will look cool. I think they change schools and so since the other students there don't know who they are, they don't know they are really geeks from a different school. They end up being well liked and popular until they get jealous of each other and fighting with each other and I think the other students find out about them. Anyway, like I said, I thought Patrick Dempsey played the guy, but I guess not. The movie is anywhere from 1982 to about 1988 (I think). Please help. I would really like to see it again. Thanks for anyone who helps.

I don't know if you are thinking of "Can't Buy me Love" That has Patrick Dempsey (I think?) as a geek who offers to pay for cleaning a popular girls leather outfit. In return, she makes him over and agrees to pretend that they are dating, in order to make him popular.

Back in the 80's Disney made some TV movies for their Sunday Night Disney TV series. I remember this one, but can't think of what the movie was called.
