I do frequent virus scans with norton, and have adware removing software. The problems are minor things that are extremely irritating. every page i open seems to refresh the instant it finishes downloading, and often many of the links, buttons, and dropdown lists dont work. It does this on popular sites like Yahoo, ebay, and Myspace.
Does anyone have any ideas?! Thanks in advance.

*im browsing with the latest version of Internet explorer. (had the same problems previous version as well)
also, everywhere certain words appear, like "business", "cars", "sex", etc. the words are bolded and hyperlinked to a search.

Try Firefox! Go to http://www.getfirefox.com - there is even a plug in that makes the page work like an IE page but better. Also, it sounds like you have some data miners on your system. Go to http://www.lavasoft.com and get the free AdAware program - it will help pull those off. I actually use that plus my anti-virus all the time.

and download the updates for IE
and every thing will be ok
