to escape reality and to better my understanding of the human race.
seeing how other race/beings life will show you the human being is not all that bad it is just got to the stage in our evolution we are learning so many new things and we have a fear of being left behind so in creeps the greed factor and it has gone from there people want more and more look at our planet it has every thing feeds us well waters us makes us grow it has every thing we could ever want so back to the question why is my reason to go on the star ship enterprise would be to realise what we all ready have on earth?Dave

There is no place THIS SIDE OF PARADISE where FRIDAY'S CHILD can experience a METAMORPHOSIS which in the WINK OF AN EYE can change one into THAT WHICH SURVIVES. THE PARADISE SYNDROME, also known as THE OMEGA GLORY, is but one way to RETURN TO TOMORROW; that is my OBSESSION. I want to go to THE CITY ON THE EDGE OF FOREVER, where TOMORROW IS YESTERDAY, and THE NAKED TIME is but a DAGGER OF THE MIND. THE WAY TO EDEN is through THE SAVAGE CURTAIN, and no TURNABOUT INTRUDER in THE DEADLY YEARS of ALL OUR YESTERDAYS shall keep me from A PIECE OF THE ACTION. I would escape THE CAGE, THE MAN TRAP, that place WHERE NO MAN HAS GONE BEFORE; I seek THE CATSPAW, which BY ANY OTHER NAME is THE ALERNATIVE FACTOR. Having had A TASTE OF ARMAGEDDON, I would instead go on AN ERRAND OF MERCY. And that is why I should be on the Starship Enterprise.

To seek out new lives and new civilizations and to learn and share knowledge. It would be amazing and totally worth the danger to see what is really out there and possibly make contact and learn and share with other species.
