...and its cool but get mad when any other races calls them that? that does not make any sense, if they dont want other people calling them that name, dont call your fellow "brothers" that then.

Lets see I have been black all my life and never out of millions of black people I know have I heard them refer to each other like that it is derogatory and means low life person but if some one of a different race mainly white said it they would not be calling me a friend so the word you hear ends in a ggah or gga and means homie research that because the word u are using is not the correct one the BLACK PEOPLE USE

Why do you care? I mean do you want to be able to call them that or something? Seem's like it's really none of your business, as I take it you're not black..or do you just need to have some kind (any kind) of an issue with black people?
Turn it around and look at it from a personal perspective..In my case:
I'm a white female, if a white female calls me.. *whatever name * referring to my race/or sex or whatever..am I going to wonder as much as if someone of a different race (or sex) calls me the exact same name..or am I going to question whether they're are insulting me or if they are racist/sexist?
It isn't to complicated..this is an old question that I'm so tired of hearing! Apply the "turn-the-tables rule" to your life and it will answer alot of questions for you.

See that green bar that says search for questions? I suggest using it once in awhile. This question is asked everyday, yesterday it was asked and is probably still open to answers since it was an ignorant rant like yours. I show everybody respect and if I don't get respect in return, I don't care. When I am disrespected , i.e. called me anything other than my name, by anyone of any race I will disrespect them.

I call my girlfriends - lovingly - ho, *****, slut, *** bucket etc...I know its not very nice or mannerly. But they are terms of endearment and hey what do you know? NO ONE OUT OF OUR CIRCLE BETTER CALL US ANY OF THOSE WORDS....Remind you of something? Yea! Black ppl and the N word. cept for I would not walk up to some random black dude on the street and be like WHAT UP *****! u gotta be in the circle...But this is a good question. You stated it biased though. You shouldve just asked the question and not try to put your opinion in it.
It makes it seem like you didnt really ask the question to find out true answers.

Thats like me asking "Why do white people like Pink Floyd? Why cant they be normal and listen to Snoop Dogg" See the problem? Im trying to answer the question myself.

Just state the facts

****** was originally a denotative word, it's how the lords referred to their slaves, that's why it's offensive for a white to call it, blacks started to used as to say they are proud of their heritage and as being a part of an ethnic group that has allways suffered and still suffers many times.
I'm portuguese and the most common word for black people is "pretos" (=blacks) but many white people think it's a rude word, and it's not used in formal language, the polite way is "******", but blacks call themselves pretos all the time, some of them are offended when a white person says it and others aren't, so it's hart to know

why is that you think black people go around calling themselves that. If two random black people meet in the street and one of them calls the other a ******. The chance is more likely than not that there will be conflict.

and how in the hell did you get that through the filter.

Jews can make derogatory jokes about themselves being cheapskates and it is OK. Let me a Christian black woman say that someone tryed to Jew me down on a price I was selling something for, now I'm anti Semetic. My sister and I are both fat now. But 10 years ago she was phat but not fat and she made a fat joke that I laughed at but warned that she wasn't fat enough to make that same joke in a less understanding circle where fat women were present unless she wanted someone to open up a can of whup-tail or sit on her. She understood, just like you need to understand, there are double standards in life, accept them and move on. It ain't right, but it's real.

I hate that word and I don't use it and I don't think anyone should use it, regardless of race and regardless of who they're talking to. Don't generalize and think that every black person is ok with the use of that word because a lot aren't.

I answered a very similar question the other day. The link to the question is:

I'm too lazy to write it all out again, lol, but I think it's a pretty good answer even though I'm obviously biased. :)
