Tell your Dr. Could be the type of pill. They can give you medicine that is better than Monastat or whatever. You may not really have a recurring one, so much as your not completely getting rid of the original one. Plus you should get checked and make sure it is yeast. It could be something else, and the Dr. can let you know.

One of the effects of the pill is yeast infections. The pill is a hormone that makes your body basically think it is pregnant.... one of the reasons for weight gain. And for those that have been pregnant... well... hormones are plenty. It throws things out of whack and for those more prone, can cause yeast infections. The discharge you should have looked into. The pain could just be cramping but better to be safe. It is common to get a yeast infection on the last week of your pills along with the discharge.

Because of the pain I really think you should talk to your doctor there may be more going on.
Usually the pill will help regulate hormones helping your ph stay regular which should help to avoid yeast.

If your getting abnormal discharge you should ask for culture to determine what it is rather than thinking it is definatly yeast...it could be something else.
Hope you feel better soon and nothin serious is going on!
I have had pain with yeast infections but because the yeast is botherig my bladder as well. It is not a common yeast infection symptom.

Have you ever been tested for any STDs? That would be my first suggestion; because of the pain that you are experiencing.... and do you experience severe itching and irritation? That would be more like a yeast infection if there was itching..... During your period it is normal to experience some discharge; especially right before you start....but you should probably check with a doctor...

Hormones are affected by the pill and it can have a bearing on yeast infections. Watch sugar levels and try to take live cultures in yogurt (or refrigerated supplements).
