no they are all hard for safety reasons, but since your daughter is older now, if you don't think she is ready for a regular twin mattress, try folding a comforter to fint the mattress and then putting the fitted sheet over it just like you normaly would, it worked for my daughter.

If you cannot find a soft crib mattress, which they only come so soft that fit into a toddler bed, you could always consider a twin bed which then you could buy the mattress as soft as you want. They sell rails to put onto twin bed's so little ones don't roll out. That's always one option.

The crib mattress I have is infant on one side and toddler on the other which is softer. So I assume there are softer toddler mattresses than even that.
Also if you get a regular sized bed you can get any regular mattress. But remember relatively firm is best for your back.

Actually, there are different mattresses for toddlers. They only need that really firm one as a newborn - to prevent SIDS. I know because we looked at them when we were buying our crib. The salesperson had to correct us to a proper mattress.
The one we bought has two sides one for a newborn and one for a toddler. The toddler one is really soft compared to the other one. You should go to a child furniture store and sample them. They run the same cost as the newborn one. I know Babies R Us has newborn ones, but I've never seen the toddler ones. Maybe try a store that specializes in newborn/child furniture.

I know they sell crib mattresses that are firmer or not so firm. I suggest getting a twin mattress foam and cutting it to the size of the crib mattress. My cousin did that for her daugther and it helped. She had the same problem, her child prefered their bed because it was a lot softer, so she got the foam and it worked like a charm. Good Luck

Toddler beds use the same mattess as a crib, which have to be more firm and not cushiony for safety reasons at that young age. If you want a softer mattress for her you're going to have to move her up to a twin size bed.

Skip the toddler bed! My 2 year old daughter has one and refuses to sleep on it, you can't find a comfy mattress for it. Just get a twin bed and put safety rails on it (you can buy them at Walmart, made out of mesh and totally safe). Plus, the toddler beds are small, and my daughter likes to stretch out.

yes they do. They make child bed mattresses just the same as they do adult beds. They have firm, medium and soft.

yes they do, but hard to find with all regulations may i suggest a thrift store, if you get the kind that is like plastic on top you can disinfect it easy and it will only cost you about 12 dollars, they are much softer and great for a toddler
