Copper has many uses. One of the most interesting is in microelectronic crcuits (semiconductors).

Copper has become the primary material of choice for interconnecting transistors in advanced semiconductor logic circuits (chips that do processing in computers, cell phones and other electronics). In this application, it provides better performance and lower power consumption than the material previoiusly used, aluminum.

It is believed that copper may someday become the leading interconnect material in semiconductor memory chips as well.

In this application, there is lot of science involved in the use of copper. The material that goes with copper in a chip is called a low-k dielectric. The search is still on for better low-k dielectric materials.

Lots of things, from electrical wires to coins. It's also present in the blood of some crustaceans, they have it instead of iron. My friend did his physics presentation on copper, I didn't get to see it though, or I might have been more help. I suggest going on wikipedia and typing in 'copper'.

Copper is a very versatile metal, because it is malleable, ductile, a good conductor of heat and, when very pure, a good conductor of electricity. It is used in copper wire, electromagnets, relays, busbars, cathode ray tubes, plumbing fittings, saucepans, frying pans, coins, roofing and in statues.

Pipes & electrical cables mainly, also used to make brass and bronze various other alloys e.g Colsibro. Copper is a very good conductor of electricity, its also farily inert and doesn't corrode easily.
