Most of the people who say they are psychic are not, but those who are do not say so. For example, those who make claims, like giving readings or bending spoons, are frauds wanting some money off of gullible people. However, psychic ability IS REAL, and 3-5% possess some of it, while approximately 0.3% can READ and significantly INFLUENCE minds. They are not public about it; they use it for personal or corporal prosperity. Why would they degrade themselves to giving reading like those crackpots with a crystal ball? THEY HAVE MORE IMPORTANT THINGS TO DO!!! You have to be careful; ANYONE could be psychic! Tin foil hats/aluminum foil hats work well.
Now: Why do genuine psychics shut their mouth but the frauds keep it open? Do not steal my ideas; come up with some of your own.

Their is a difference between Psychis and people who read cards, leafs, and what nots. Their is a difference between being born with a gift, where no instruments are used to fortell someone's future, and then their are those with an open mind, {since everyone has that six sense, just some are too closed minded to know they can use it}, that with teachings can actually learn how to fortell the future by usuing instruments such as tarot reading cards, crystals, touch, leaves, and what nots.
I believe their is miracles, and the higher power, just the same as the devils work, and all that phenomena that goes along with it, both white and black magic out there. .. but to get to the point, sometimes real psychics dont reveal too much of what they do, because frankly it isn't fun to have people bother you all the time that they want to know this or that. IT is mentally draining on the psychic , or tarot reader. It just sucks the energy right out of you , enough to feel so tired after a reading. Speaking from expirence, i hated to have people knocking at my door at all hours of the day or night. :) For the people that are frauds, well the reason why they advertize and are pretty much out there selling what they claim theyt are able to do, is because they treat it as a buisness.
That is the difference.

you said it. That is exactly why. they wont to be the only ones that know how.
if i could read minds or know what was goning to happen next i would never tell any one. i would just sit and enjoy the show. they also are pretty depressed from knowing so much that is bad or mean or scarry to know is real. to much knowledge can make you crazy. they dont go to far with it because they know this. and they dont want other fools to go through it and die sooner than normal and also know when it will happen. that would freak me out.

In many society's people look to special people who have some type of clairvoyant powers to learn about what they should do. In Puerto Rico, for example, you see stores with objects used in "Santeria" and people who consult with clients to heal them or help them. Not all of these people are frauds, and they openly have shops with signs featuring Saints or Tarot cards.
Now, if a person does not want to help people publicly, that person will not advertise his/her powers if the person even knows about them. Most Western societies, do believe that mind readers or gypsies are frauds but that does not change the fact that some people can read minds and foretell, for example, dangerous situations.
Even in Latin America, some ridiculous "mind readers" on television make many people doubt legitimate psychics.
A legitimate healer would not waste energy trying to win the lottery just as a legitimate doctor does not poison his/her patients.

Because real psychics realise they have something going on, and are afraid of it, what they don't realize it where the power comes from. Some might and that is what makes them very afraid.

lol they are all frauds. no one can "bend spoons with their mind" or acuratley tell you what your future is and all of that fairy tale storyline from the matrix.
