Homo is short for homosexual. Are you asking whether most skate people are homosexual? I don't see the connection. Most PEOPLE are self-centered, and that's not always a bad thing unless we carry it too far.

I realize this isn't an answer, but when did homo start meaning self centered? Doesn't it mean gay, as in homosexual?

My grandson is not self-centered and he is not homosexual, but he is a very good skateboarder.

Homo doesn't mean anything other than alike or same.
I.e. homogeneous, homophone, homosexual.
If you are using "homo" as a derogatory term, please grow up.
