I have been told that questing is far more helpful than grinding. I don't care anymore, quests seem stupid and boring. I'd rather kill stuff freely. But is grinding at least DECENT to level up with?

Grinding is the fastest way to level up. Look up on thottbot.com to see which quests require you to grind on a certain mob. This would increase the amount of exp you get.

Well, now, this becomes an issue of much debate. In my opinion, it's a poor way when compared to question or Instances if you're *just grinding*. HOWEVER, there are ways to make it more efficient. ON my rogue, for example, I grinded from 53-64 by killing Furblogs. This served a couple purposes: (a) I got Timbermaw Rep; (b) I got nice drops; (c) I got XP, and (d) since I'm a rogue, I pickpocketed, so i got even MORE money, AAAAAND leveled my lockpicking :). If you want to level just grinding, find a faction you wanna build rep with (Cenarion Hold, Timbermaw, etc). Then, find various things you can grind that give that rep. This is easier in the 50+ because there are a LOT of thing you can kill for rep (The Things in EPL, furblogs, etc.). I mean, in all honesty, you'll level *faster* if you do quests, especially grinding quests (comprimise?). but, again this is just how I roll, it makes more sense to me to grind xp ALONG WITH rep, ESPECIALLY with the level cap increase. If you started gringing at 53, it's pretty much gaurenteed that you'd be exalted by the time u hit 70, PROBABLY even before.

Rogue exalted w/Timbermaw
Lock exalted w/Cenarion.

p.s. I would like to re-accentuate the fact that this is my personal prefference... i really don't wanna be flamed *again* for posting on a WoW thread :)

Um.. It really depends how strong you are. When I still played (Warlock, made it up to level 53 then went broke in real life), I had a better time questing to level up.. Before I left, however, I was grinding in the Plaguelands monsters that were slightly above my level, and that seemed to do well, but I recommend questing instead. I know they can get really boring and all, but in the end it pays off.. Especially in the battlegrounds. Oh, and don't forget, quests can get you better items and more gold than grinding will most of the time.

If you are killing things at the limit of what you can handle, grinding can be a good way to level up, but it takes patience. Quests help you level faster, because a lot iof the time you have to kill a bunch of maobs anyway and you get experience for the kill, and then for the quest turnin, a double bonus. the best way is a combo of kill-grinding and questing.

At low levels the best way to level up is with quests, even at higher levels questing is still rpobably the best way. The thing is you usually kill things like you normally would and once you finish the quest you get a ton of exp that would take you much longer to get. The only time i say don't do quests is to go into instances.

I've always found questing to be a more efficient way to level. Most of the power leveling guides seem to recommend questing as well. The key is performing the quests in a specific sequence to maximize XP and minimize travel time.
