i think deron williams deserves to be in the all star game because he is partly responsible for utah's outstanding play and record this season. he pushes the ball, he has good court vision, he has a jump shot and he gets players involved such as boozer, kirelnko, and okhur. he is an outstanding player and will be even better as time goes by.

Deron Williams has had a great year so far, but to be honest he isn't an all star just yet. No one on the team could be replaced by Williams and if AI doesn't play then the spot will go to Ray Allen. His numbers right now are just better than Williams'. But in the next few years I think Williams will be a hard out for the All Star voters.

Iverson has not said he will sit out, but he is thinking about it... If he sits, Deron is one of two favorites, the other being Ray Allen... Williams probably will not get it due to the fact that Allen is a much bigger name, but I agree that Williams should have been picked. He has played excellently this year and deserves to be rewarded. Also, however, Allen will probably make it since he is a flashier, generally more exciting (dunks and all that) kind of player. Hopefully if Iverson decides to sit the spot will go to its rightful recipient, Williams, who has actually been in the West all year.

2 causes a million) The NBA is amazingly deficent at 2 key positions, PG and C. there are purely a handful of megastar gamers at those 2 posiitons. now to not take something faraway from Williams. he's an extremely proficient participant who's shown he can carry a crew. yet interior the NBA of today, his expertise propels him to good 3 prestige at his position. now to not indicate that 2 of the superior factors guards interior the league over the previous few years in Nash and Kidd are each and each over 35 years of age. 2) The All-megastar pastime is a recognition contest. i visit wager you funds that if A.I stayed with the Sixers, you may have considered the exact same jap convention lineup interior the All-megastar pastime in 08 and 09. Lebron will continuously be a starter (deservedly) Wade, KG, Dwight Howard as well. Out West, Kobe,Yao, (and now and interior the destiny Chris Paul) are locks for the start lineup. McGrady became most suitable in votes back to back years even as he became injured in basic terms about the entire time! (thankfully others exceeded him and the coaches did not opt for him for the bench) men like Tim Duncan and Amare are interchangable, yet they'll continuously a minimum of make the reserves, alongside with Dirk Nowitzki. even as the coaches opt for the bench, they ought to opt for all the 5 positions, and a pair of "at large" (anyplace gamers) So for the previous few years, Williams as been missed. quite because he became injured very last three hundred and sixty 5 days. yet he will be on the 2010 crew, mark my words...

If AI sits, Williams may as well be his replacement. I decided not to watch ever since Kobe was voted a starter, and that decision was cemented with the addition of Anthony as an injury replacement.
GO EAST (the lesser of two evils this season)!

I'd say he's definitely a likely candidate but many feel Ray Allen is just as deserving. Allen is having a great year as always and has had to hold the fort down with Rashard Lewis going down with a hand injury.
