When I was small I had a doll about 6" tall. Her name was Dawn (actual manufacurers name). My aunt made her clothes and a decorated box from a cigar box. I still have her and she's about 35 years old. It's the only thing I have from my childhood.

I had a baby doll That would crawl, and she would fall down and cry for mama. lol it was a great doll.

I also had a train that you could really ride. You put the track together any way you want and you ride the train. (it was like a power wheel toy) I loved my train. The day i got to big to ride it was a horrible sad day.

My favorite was a care bears cassette player. I took it everywhere i went. I had a care bears tape, disco mickey mouse, alvin and the chipmunks, and the beach boys amongst others. OH! And the smurfs! I still have a couple of those tapes stashed away somewhere. Oh, and I loved Rose Petal Dolls.

Bullet Man, the Human Bullet.

He had this pointy chrome-like helmet covering his face. The box said, "Don't remove Bullet Man's helmet."

Well, being a kid, I eventually got around to taking a flat head screwdriver and prying off Bullet Man's helmet.

Underneath? Yup, G.I. Joe.

I was crushed.

I had a thumbalina doll I think I got her when I was 8 yrs old......how I got it was, my mom took me to a thrift shop, I saw the thumbalina doll & knew she needed love, I think my mom only paid 50 cents for it, maybe less, but I bought baby clothes for her, took her every where with me, I even had a small suit case for all her clothes. I loved that doll so much, when we moved, it got lost, I had that doll till I was 16. I miss her like crazy, I hope that someone found her & loved her like I did.

My cabbage patch dolls.

They reminded me how lucky I am...

That I'm not as ugly as it gets and I'm not the the child of a moldy green vegetable.

No, really though, they were my favorite toy.
