Call and ask the doctor to phone in something - unless the baby's eye is swollen, a prescription of Tobrex would work on it.
If they won't call it in and you have to wait until Monday, just use a damp cloth to wipe the mucus from her eye and be super dilligent about handwashing - yours and hers! Make anything you use on her face one use only and put it in to be washed.

Pink eye is common and it comes on fast. You can put a warm cloth on the eye to help draw out the gunk. Also, all you need is polysporin eye drops. They are medicated and always worked for me (I used to work in a daycare and I've lost count of the number of times I had pink eye). I would check with the pharmacist before I use them on a 10 month old though... if not, I'm sure they could recommend something right on the spot. Make sure you wash your hands a million times and you baby's too.... it's pretty likely that once it's in one eye, it's only a matter of time before it gets in the other.

Go to an urgent care or call your doctor for an earlier appointment so you can get the antibiotics right away. In addition, ask the doctor whether you can get a prescription for yourself, as you are likely to catch it. That's what I always did when my daughter was little.
If you absolutely can't get to the doctor before Monday, here's what you can do to treat the symptoms and make your baby a little more comfortable:
Cool or warm compresses and acetaminophen or ibuprofen may make a child with pinkeye feel more comfortable. You can clean the edges of the infected eye carefully with warm water and gauze or cotton balls. This can also remove the crusts of dried discharge that may cause the eyelids to stick together first thing in the morning.
Here's an informative website:

If you are breastfeeding, squirt some breastmilk in his eye. It has great antibiotic properties and will help clear up the infection.
Wash hands A LOT for the next few days to prevent spreading the infection.

that medicated eye ointment isn't for pink eye...I wouldn't try it.
Make sure to keep his hands away from his eyes as he can spread it to his other eye and wash your hands good! I would go to your local pharmacy and ask the Pharmacist which eye drop will best relieve the pain AND is safe for someone so young, but this is what I was able to pull up-

Patanol is one solution that has been proven to be effective in preventing pink eye caused by allergies with just 2 drops a day. It is safe according to the manufacturer for kids over the age of three. Another Pink eye medication is Similasan Allergy Eye Relief eye drops. These over the counter medications may not be as effective but provide some relief. Similasan also has a pink eye relief eye drops for viral conjunctivitis. Other eye drop companies also provide similar eye drops that help relieve Viral Pink eye. These over the counter medications are all that is needed for most cases of viral pink eye as the virus just needs to run its course and pink eye medication is used just for relieving of symptoms. For persistent problems it is best to consult your eye care professional.

Do you still have the medicated eye ointment that they sent you home from the hospital with? It's erythromycin ophthalmic ointment. Try that.
I actually read once that treating pink eye doesn't make the symptoms disappear any sooner

No, if the infection is viral nothing will help. If it is bacterial only antibiotics and time will help.
