OK, well not "hate", but seriously, ever since I got here, all anyone in Oregon can talk about is how bad Californian drivers are and how they're all gay gang members with mowhawks! (or something like that)

Just natural reaction to new people coming in. I am Canadian and last time I visited Portland that is exactly the grumbling I heard about Californians. They said Californians were moving North from their crowded cities and into Oregon. However, for people in Oregon, they are more crowded than they are use to, and see you as the reason why. Californians moving up with money means higher property values. Great if you are an owner, but every Oregon family starting out is competing with you for a value priced home.
Driving is that way everywhere. Everyone gets mad at tourists and newcomers. People from other places don't know the local accepted driving habits, haven't memorized traffic patterns like turn lanes and stop signs, and might be looking for directions or lost. If you drive to work the same way for 20 years it is the back of your hand. But someone just in front of you might be doing it for the first time.
Just hang in there, and be your pleasant self. Anyone that stops to get to know you will not care where you are from.

Get a life - there is more to do in Oregon then worry about what seemingly goes on in California or what "they" think Californians are like - explore your State - get to know it better! If you are a former Californian, stop focusing your attention on California, become a knowledgeable Oregonian.

I faced this probably while living in Washington state. It seems that a lot of people moved to WA from CA and when that happened, the cost of living shot up. I imagine the same thing happened in Oregon.

people in Oregon have had a much quiter lifestyle, and the value of $ is not quite in the same category. California's people have more $ (not that it's bad) and they drive up prices in ORE and ARIZ to the point that noone else can afford it. look at the housing prices in AZ from 3 yrs ago, and look to see who bought (Californians) and now look at the market value. you guys really suck.

It is not just Californians, it is everyone unless you are born and inbred there. My boss was born in California, but lived the majority of his life in Oregon, and he makes fun of everyone that is not from there. It must be the fresh air.

properly whilst California falls into the Pacific Arizona would be best sea coast front sources. And Oregonians are liberal for the main area. that is sweet you like your state. Like they are asserting there is not any place like residing house. i think of Cal. is cool given which you are able to bypass there and watch each and all the wierdos.

Honestly people from Oregon shouldn't say things like that even if it's true. They should just stay away from people from California and shun them. That's a much more wholesome attitude to have.

everyone hates california because theyr jealous, if they grew up in california they wouldnt feel that way, they think people from california are stuck up for some reason, just think about how much attention california gets compared to oregon, its resent

Funny they should make comments like that. Half the time I get stuck behind a slow, oblivious driver I see that phucking tree on their license plate.

lots of gangs in cali. my cuz goes to school there and his dress code is nuts just cause of gang signs and stuff. and yea they drive like crap cause its so aggressive there, so up here they cut everyone off and they just suck. but all my relitives live in cali so i dont think im as much of a hater
