I don't open the door to get a Thank You, but when I don't get one i feel very mild anger towards the other person. I very extreme anger when it's someone in authority, like police, teachers, parents..etc. because they are all meant to be teaching you manners in some kind of way. When they don't show them thereself, well.. that's just hypocritical!

I am very fortunate to live in a place where most people say thank you. Sometimes when I'm in a different city I think I would like to try "C". I never would, but I'd like to! !
