Will my baby have red hair?
I am 8 months pregnant and very curious to if my baby will have red hair? I have have auburn and i have a fair skin tone... my father has light brown with red tint fair skin tone... my mother has light brown hair and is medium skin toned.... although my father's dad has bright red hair and his mother has black... mother's mother and father both have dark hair and darker skin tone... my husband has jet black hair his mother and father both having brown all being dark skin toned... also his grandparents.....?

This is my first pregnancy.....

More than likely your baby will probably have darker hair. Red hair and light skin tone are not the dominate genes. I am fortunate to have a beautiful little red headed girl with blue eyes but my son is equally as beautiful with his brown hair and brown eyes :)

It's such a fun surprise to see that long awaited bundle. When my son was born everyone talked about how dark complected he was and how beautiful he was. When my daughter was born the first words out of the Doctor's mouth were, "LOOK at that RED hair!" LMAO I hadn't even seen her yet!

Isn't it great being a redhead? I am too. I love it. I've often wondered the same thing about my baby (18 weeks now). They say it's very hard to predict hair color, but eye color they have charts on the internet for. Anyway. In my opinion I think it's very possible that your child will either have red or light brown with red highlights in his hair. This is only a guess. I'm guessing you're having a boy too. Just a hunch that came to me as I was writing this. Congrats.

Who knows. I was born with black hair and then when I was a couple months old it turned white blonde and then brown with red in it. My mom is Lebonese and my dad is German, and I have very pale skin while my mother has dark skin and my father is tan too. My mom has brown eyes and my dad has blue eyes and I have brown eyes. I used to think I was adopted! There is no telling what your child is going to look like. I cant wait to see what my little man is going to look like in 2 wees hopefully!!!!! Good Luck

There is a chance that it could have red hair. My family all has brown hair and dark skin tone (tan looking) and one of my sisters came out with red hair. She is the only one in our family besides one other cousin that has red hair.

There really is no way to tell. My husband is Brasilian and he is dark complexion and has black hair and dark brown eyes, and I have light skin, blonde hair and green eyes. My son come out at 1st with pitch black hair.. then it all fell out and grew back light blonde and he has blue eyes and light olive skin. So the only way you will know is til they are born.. Sorry! sounds like your baby might end up with brown hair, but you never can tell for sure with genetics. my mom has dirty blonde, my dads was dark brown, mine is dark auburn. both my boys have red hair but much lighter than mine. my husband has brown hair but a red beard (how weird is that) and he was a toe head when he was little. so its really hard to say what color hair the baby will have.

Red hair is a recessive trait. With both of your husbands parents having dark hair, which is the dominant trait, I would assume dark hair. There isn't anyway to say positively for a while, but that would be my guess.

There is really no way to tell what your baby will have. When I was a baby I was born with red hair, and now I have strawberry blonde. My son when he was born had no hair, and what he did have was a light blonde. Then when my daughter was born she had dark hair, really dark hair. Then when my son got older his got darker, and my daughter got older and her's got lighter.

Hair color and can change so much, and sometimes it is an unexpected color you never thought of.

typically the baby will have it's fathers hair if it's a girl and your hair if it's a boy. However that isn't always the case.

well since u have auburn colored hair and ur husband has black it will probably be and brown color
