Vahig jan (it means dear Vahig in Armenian) if you are an Armenian(I am sure you are, your name says that), for sure try to study your country's history, never compare it with another country, we are unique people (every country has its diffident history of course) but what I mean is we have thousands years of back ground (the real Aryans) our country is a open museum, where ever you go you will find a piece of history (of course from whatever its left, because most of it is under turky's territory now, also some of them is in the north part of Iran and some
azerbaijan). People in Armenia are friendly and civilized and very sophisticated, Armenia might not be a reach country, but there are hundreds of hotels, motels, restaurants, boarding houses etc., it is a mixture of old and new, and has the most educated people, everybody knows about everything, if you go there once, you will want to go every year. So go there, enjoy and have the time of your life. why do you even bring the Iraq up?
And if you are not Armenian, please just go read some history and put the countries in same category!!!

I have travelled to Armenia, as long as you take normal precautions as you would on any holiday, it is safe. Iraq however is off the list.
