there was God, angels and heaven, and nothing else, until God made the earth.

By definition, there could be nothing prior to the creation of the Universe, because it had not been created yet! Nothing, that is, except for the ingredients and cause of the Creation. God and Science are not mutually exclusive - Science is how we come to understand the work of God, which we will never fully comprehend, and so, however much we learn and theorize and model, what exactly happened or existed so long ago will be forever uncertain, and God/Religion/Mythology will continue to encompass that which we do not fully understand, as they have throughout human history. While this question may seem to have little to do with current life and how to live your life, it is interesting to expand our scientific knowledge and understanding in general, you never know what useful applications will come out. We should all do the best we can to live the best life we can, promoting social cooperation and altruism to make the world a better place - selfishness leads to misery and destruction.

This is a difficult question.
First of all, there was no time or space as such can be understood; time and space started with the Big Bang. So, we cannot say before or after, since there was no real time and space.
We do not know what exactly there was before the Big Bang. Since matter and energy can neither be created nor destroyed (according to the laws of physics), there must have been some form of those.

I will never accept the Bible or any other religious book as anything more than fiction. All such books are fictitious and have no scientific basis, no evidence to support any of the theories. Religion should stay away from science.

The laws of physics start at time zero, with a universe in place (even if very tiny, mere fractions of a second after the Big Bang.) Science does not answer what came before, or even if there was a before. Anyone can say anything they feel makes sense to them, as long as they realize they are proposing something untestable, something that's no better or no worse than what anyone else says.
Beware when people say "Well, there HAS to be ... (this or that)." The universe is what is, not what people think it should be.

Another universe would be my guess. Religion seems to fail miserably at answering this. Science is beginning to come up with some good theories (string, M, etc.) but given the insanely large differences in distance that spans the "known universe" time seems to be the limiting factor in understanding this very difficult question. Everything that is observed in the cosmos from earth is the past, the farther you look the farther you go back into time. It seems that as telescopes gain in resolution so does the size of the universe. Funny how that works!

In the total nothingness before time there is total vacuum under which is a seething quantum flux of Gap Energy. In this vacuum by random chance a fluctuation in quantum energy results in the fleeting appearance of a massive particle so unstable it immediately collapses back into the energy sink from which it emerged. This may happen an almost infinite number of times but eventually one such particle explodes before it can sink back to zero and voila a universe is born.

To tell you the truth I think The universe was a small ball full of Gasses, And otherthings, these exploded for some reason, and became so huge in an instant that the universe was made and the universe is so big it COULD STILL!, be growing from that explosion?,.... I think Religion is something made by people who wanted something to belive in... (I am not at all religious and belive that religion is homo sapien nature?)

If you want an answer that doesnt involve a bible, or a story about atoms, Look up the philosophical view of Nihilism. Accept that it doesn't matter, and go about your day to eat, sleep, interact and put yourself before anything else. After all, actions and morals are insignificant, let alone worriying or arguing wether we came from some mythical being or an explosion and monkeys.

Nothing, just energy. To create matter enough to make a whole universe you need one hell of a lot of energy. That's what was there before the universe and that's what created it. Some eg Muslims, call that energy God.

Difficult question... but people always think that there once had to be nothing, and maybe there was always something.... that there was always stuff there or here and all over, in different forms... But we get caught in the idea that that can't be. Read some interesting books on the subject --- all rather deep stuff, Hawkings is one author. Find like stuff on Amazon.com The simple minded will refer to religion, and read the Qu'oran or Bible, "Read the Bible, brotha, God Loves You" and all that crap but that's too easy, and for the uneducated. Another great book is now on the best seller list, The God Delusion.... he's difficult to read, so don't plan to buzz thru it quickly.

Nothing at all. By definition the Universe is everything (time and space) so nothing can exist 'before' it - since it is impossible to define time unless within the Universe.
