Elementary school children are generally ages 7 through 11, they attend grades 1 through 5.
They then graduate to go to middle school which they attend through age 15 for grades 6 through 8; afterwards they attend high school.

Elementary school usually includes kindergarten, followed by grades 1 to 5, but in some school districts it goes up to 6th grade. Students are typically five years old when they start kindergarten, and most have turned eleven by the time they finish 5th grade, or twelve when they finish 6th grade.
