Historically speaking, it was a business enterprise that bought more money for more civilized looking light skinned babies. Since the slave women they raped were considered animals, what was he in essence was he admitting about himself? Their wives were not much more than chattle themselves and just think, he derived lots of pleaseure for prostituting his own progeny, through slavery. It speaks volumes about their psychological distress.

They were aroused, and the slave women were vulnerable. I'm sure that in most instances, it was all about satisfying lust, not about attraction or love. If they had any self control, they might have resisted. Now that I think about it, there were probably many times slave owners did not rape their slaves, but we'll never know about that until judgment day.

Rape is done as a act of power and control. So that should answer your strange question. They wanted to show their dominance over the female who was helpless to do anything about it. God bless****

Rape is typically used to assert dominance. Rape is often used as a weapon of war. And it was used by slavemasters too.

It was profitable. Light skinned babies were worth more and they were able to sell their own children and make money.
