Ando is there as the comedy sidekick, a porn loving, womanizing side kick to off set the holier than though quest seeking Hiro. He also serves as the translator.

Bennett never adopted Claire or at least never legally adopted Claire seeing how her parents were not dead, but my guess is he was given Claire by the people who found her in the fire and with the help of his friends he made everyone think she was his adoptive daughter.

Nikki had a sister named jessica who their father abused and killed. He apparently was about to start up on Nikki when her powers kicked in. It is doubtful that her father killed Jessica if jessica was super strong so that strength comes from within Nikki, but because; she was abused as a child the power took on the name of her dead sister Jessica and it shielded her from any of her father's abuse, that is until it became so powerful that it in fact threatened her father and told him it would kill him if he ever touched Nikki again. The Schizophrenia ia a product of the abuse and the power which drives its holders crazy if they don't learn how to control it. Think Micah and the fact he stole all that money. It is easy to be corrupted by power.

It would make sense that Suresh had a power and that Shanti had a power and that Mohinder has a power. After all, why kill Suresh if he had the list? Why not just follow him? I mean where would he have come up withthis theory? His daughter had a power which drove her to her death, but; for all he knew that was an isolated power. What made him curious of others? And how does Mohinder connect with Sanjog? More to the point why does Sanjog connect with Mohinder. Sanjog connected with Suresh and now he connects with his son. This could be going somewhere.

Good questions for someone who is just catching up.

1. Ando is a tag-a-long but he is being a good friend and keeps Hiro company. I think sooner or later the writers will give Ando some sort of power.

2. Even at a young age. Claire had her power and somehow H.R.G. found out about her. He found out that she survived the fire and in someway she was "special". So he adopted her since Claire's real mom ran away because she found out about her fire powers and didn't want anyone to find out.

3. I think it's obvious about the grave. It talks about how good Jessica was or how people thought she was. Nikki doesn't really have the power. Jessica possesed Nikki somehow and since Nikki doesn't know how to control her. Jessica comes out and does evil things. Jessica also has super-human strength

4. No, Suresh's dad did not have a power. He found out about the genetic mutations and decided to find all the Heroes so he can make the world a better place. But he had to go find Sylar first and ruin almost everything.

1) Ando is Hiro's support (you'll see as you catch up with the series), and I'm sure he has another, greater role later on.
2) Bennet adopted Claire after loosing her parents in a fire... at least, that's what they thought. I won't spoil it for you.
3) Her power isn't schizophrenia. It seems as though Niki and her sister share the same body, there really isn't a name for her power.
4) That was never looked into, but he could've had the power to find other mutants. We're not sure. I think he died to early to really tell.

I hope I helped you a bit ^_^

1. At the beginning he translated english for Hiro, but he doesn't seem to have much use now.
2. We don't know for sure. All we know is that Bennett is very powerful and has a lot of connections and ways of doing things.
3. Her power is like a split personality. Niki's other half is her dead sister, Jessica.
4. Not that we know of. His daughter who died did have unknown powers. He was just looking for these 'special' people.

1 Ando is Hiro's best friend, translator and sidekick, also a bit of 'devil's advocate'

2 HRG adopted Claire as a baby, judging by his reaction to Isaac's statement about Peter learning invisibility, HRG's real job has been to track and monitor 'mutants' for some time now. likely he was working with Claire's mom at the time of the fire, and he took her, telling both Claire and her Birth mom that the other was dead.

3 Niki/Jessica's father was abusive(extent and type was never stated), Jess died somehow, likely afterwards their dad abused Niki, and Niki recreated Jessica as a separate personality who could take the abuse(A common defense mechanism for abuse victims) when her super strength powers manifested Niki got scared and 'assigned' them to Jessica. now she functions much like the HULK, in that as Niki she is calm, human and normal, but when the switch flips over to Jessica she can do almost anything unburdened by morality.

4. It was never stated.

1. To help translate and every hero needs a sidekick...

2. He mentioned to the painter that something bad happened to her parents and they ended up adopting her...

3. Niki's power is super human strength... my feeling is that maybe Niki caused her sister's death or something and that traumatic experience caused her to get a split personality...

Niki doesn't have Schizophrenia ... she has a split personality....

Schizophrenia is a psychiatric diagnosis that describes a mental disorder characterized by impairments in the perception or expression of reality and by significant social or occupational dysfunction. A person experiencing schizophrenia is typically characterized as demonstrating disorganized thinking, and as experiencing delusions or hallucinations, in particular auditory hallucinations.

"Split personalty" or "Dissociative identity disorder" (DID) is a diagnosis described in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 4th Edition, Revised, as the existence in an individual of two or more distinct identities or personalities, each with its own pattern of perceiving and interacting with the environment. At least two of these personalities are considered to routinely take control of the individual's behavior, and there is also some associated memory loss, which is beyond normal forgetfulness. This memory loss is often referred to as "losing time". These symptoms must occur independently of substance abuse or a general medical condition.

Dissociation is now recognized as a symptomatic presentation in response to trauma, extreme emotional stress

4. I don't think so...

They havent explicitly answered most of these questions. For question 3, people are answering that Niki and her dead sister Jessica share Niki's body, but they forget to mention that Jessica is ridiculously strong (albeit a bit insane and violent). It's also abnormal beyond schizophrenia because we are lead to believe that when they were children, they were two separate girls, and then Jessica died and now somehow lives in Niki.
