wear thongs, or any other sexy underwear. My teenager is sixteen and I see that she is wearing thongs. I wear thongs too but I am 34 years old.

I think there is no age. When a girl start to like to be sexy and to wear sexy clothes, it means her hormones are now making her being a young adult and that she feels the need to be attractive. Is a natural feeling. But then, she goes and wears tight pants or shorts, and do you think it would look good to show the panty lines? I don’t think so, not if you have the option to hide it by wearing a thong or a g-string.
My wife doesn’t like thongs too much, she rather wear the Brazilian style panties, or the Hot Shorts. She also have some g-strings and she rather use those than a simple thing, but she only wears them when she wears tight pants so there is no line showing. Sometimes she wears them for my pleasure, but that is a different story.
I particularly think that age is not important, what is important is to know your daughter, and if you trust her, and she has given no reasons to doubt her integrity as a young adult, then why would you go and say “you can not wear this or that until you are 16”. So is not ok to wear them when she is 15 and 364 days old, but is ok the next day? Please, is just as ridiculous as the rest of the laws about drinking, driving, having sex, etc.
The government must put standards cause they can’t get to know each person, but you can get to know (and you should!) your own daughter, so take advantage of it. Besides, if you wear them, then she is following her own mother’s example.
If you are close to her, and you two are more like friends besides mother and daughter, then you should know if is ok for her to wear thongs, and why she wants to do it.
The day I have kids (very soon now), I’ll make sure I know them, teach them well, and I will trust them. And if they make a mistake, that’s why we are here for, to help them. I am not planning to impose senseless rules to them, that is for sure.
Hope I made some sense with my explanation. Of course, is my point of view, you do whatever you think is the best for your daughter.

She is wearing thongs for one of two reasons:
1) She is still a virgin but wears them because everyone else does and wants to be "cool" ~ or ~ 2) that she might be having a relationship with a boy.
MOST LIKELY THE FIRST REASON, so please don't be offended !!
Anyway, I always say to pick your battles. If she is a good daughter, does well in school, and hardly gives you any headaches, then believe she is wearing them because they're "in" (don't forget gym class and changing in front of each other!) and let her wear them.
Personally, I've tried them and find them very annoying, especially in the rear!!

It's question of taste (does it make her feel more grown up?)
If she was going to do anything behind your back it wouldn't really matter what she was wearing (thongs or otherwise).
For kids it's probably more of advertising they see and wanting to be more grown up.
There are more important things to worry about with teenagers (make up, lipstick friends etc..)
Relax a bit, if you raised her right she'll be fine. It's better than some kids changing when they go out of the house. At least she's discussing with you and communication is always good with kids.

Why aren't you concerned about where she got them? That would be my first question. If she is working and buying her own clothes and dresses conservatively enough, let her wear what she wants underneath. your 34 wearing thongs? WOW

18 and out of the house, I don't like to think of my little girl wearing sexy things it makes me sad. She can wear them when she moves out I just don't want to know.

Im fourteen and i wear them i say that wen their able to go drive and get their own then they can wear them but my mom is more lenent
