im trying to go for a wide leg or flare..i like these but since they are sailor jeans/wide leg i wanna know if the will be like wide leg throughout the whole pants or just near the calves and ankles? i want some tightish fitting at the hips and then wide at the calve etc..what do u think these will be like? thanks

I bought a pair of Old Navy Maternity jeans, similar to the ones shown.... they were absolutely useless.
They looked great if you just stood in one spot, but as soon as you start walking, they just slipped right off my butt... I even tried holding them up with a belt!!!
Make sure that they have a lot of stretc in th fabric, and that the waistband is super strong elastic... not just stretchy fabric.

These are much cuter, not such a flare. I already gave you my opinion regarding the flare on a maternity jean, but if you're going to go for the flare, these are really cute. I found with Old Navy that the elastic lost a lot of life in the dryer and they ended up falling off my butt in a month or two. So if you get these, don't dry them after you wash them.

I haven't tried those, but they seem like what you're looking for. Old Navy is one of my favorite places to shop for maternity, but not for pants, tho. The place with the pants that fit me best is Japanese Weekend. Their pants with the "OK waistband" are the most comfortable ever and are really stylish. If you don't have a store near you (and you may not because they have like 4 stores) you can go to their website at japaneseweekend.com. I think they're having a sale on pants thru Valentine's Day.

I don't really like them. I found jeans similar to what you are describing at Mervyn's when I was pregnant. I think they were by Holly Robinson
