I think he is. More than 10,000 yards rushing puts him above many Hall of Famers, including Earl Campbell and Gale Sayers.

More importantly, T Barber was a top-3 back at the time of retirement, and retires with a string of 3 straight 1,500 plus yard seasons.

Also, Barber was a complete back, cured his fumbling, blocked, received, was tough inside and quick outside, kind of the NFC version of Ladanian. If you put Barbers stats up to Ladanian's the last three years, Barber has arguably been better (other than TDs, but its not his fault the Giants playcallers take Tiki out inside the 5 yd line).

Finally, a class act and a Team player.

Tiki gets in.
Also: Free Art Monk!!!

I wouldnt count on it. He is a great back, although no comparison with LT. He put up some good numbers but, I dont think theyll put him in the Professional Football Hall of Fame, where players like Jim Brown, Jerry Rice, Lawrence Taylor, and Joe Montana are remembered. Hes a good player, but I dont think he'll go to the Hall. I will say that the Giants would not have even thought about making the playoffs this year without him.

Maybe if he were to play for a bit longer, it's kind of questionable why he's retiring. Bottom line, I wouldnt be suprised if he made it, but I dont expect it. His name is Tiki so, you gotta give him some credit.

He has been an exceptionally good operating back yet is, as you reported, on the low end of hall of recognition backs. in my opinion the actual shown actuality that Tiki Barber has type and is a respectable man or woman potential a heck of a lot more effective than his stats. seem at countless the different stars in this league, like Merriman, TO, and Vick, and tell me how lots of them are type acts. in the experience that they win the large Bowl, he will likely get in, if not, likely not.

Yes.

!7th all time leader in yards gained. First in yards per carry. Set all kinds of team records. Multiple Pro-Bowls.

Also, from a politics angle, people like Tiki. He is a family man with no sordid details in his past so he will be easy to lobby for. And if this years class didn't show you how politically feuled the voting is (Tagliabue, Monk). then nothing will.

No way. No championships and he has never been considered the best back in the league. Not even in his own conference. He is on the Gereld Riggs, Freeman McNeil, Ricky Watters level. Very good, but not great.

To Wacky Cornrows: If what you say was true, Lynn Swann, Terry Bradshaw, and Troy Aikman(to name a few) would not be in the Hall

if he had stayed in the league for 4 or 5 more years he would have been a hall of famer and had his jersey hung.i think he quit at the wrong time because he was just becoming a dominant back in the league he fixed his fumble problem he was bcoming a top ten runing back but he quit just 2 years into his established dominance if he stayed longer he would be a hall of famer but he quit to early

Yes Tiki will be in the hall of fame he put up solid numbers his whole career and the last few years he changed his running style and stopped the fumbles which was the biggest problem with his game. He wont make it his first year but he will be in the hall of fame.

It would be great to see him in the Hall someday, but his stats and lack of Super Bowl rings will probably work against his candidacy.

If character mattered, he'd be a first ballot guy for sure, and Michael Irvin wouldn't have been voted in this year (or ever, for that matter).

team records and rings don't matter its all about individual stats. Tiki Barber has the stats for the hall of fame. so yeah. definitely he would be in the hall of fame
