The Phillies have an excellent chance of going to the Series. The best offensive lineup in the NL, and one of the top pitching staffs. The Yankees, on the other hand, are old and fading. Joe Torre has lost control of the team, Rodriguez wants out and is going to be a bad influence. Their pitching is mid-level at best, and Roger Clemens isn't going to be that much of a help if he signs with them, mostly because the arrogant twirp won't want to pitch until June or July. At this point in time, the Yankees are riding on their reputation, and will get beat out for the AL East title by Boston.

Georgie Steinbrenner will, as always, try to buy his way into the Series, but those days are over.

The Yankees have a much better shot at making the World Series than the Phillies. It will be tough for the Phillies to make it in the Met's division. Also, I doubt they can get the wild card with the Cardinals and Cubs. Sorry, but if any team is going to the series, it is the New York Yankees.

There's no way (right now) that the Yankees get to the World Series.

Being a Phillies fan, I'd love to see that. But in reality, the Phils need bullpen help in order to make it to the postseason. It was evident how bad their pen is when Gordon went on the DL for a while last year, and they blew a bunch of games in the late innings because no one could close the door.

Nope, don't see the Phillies in it.

I hate the Yankees, but they look good so far. If they add Clemens its hard to see them not going to the series.

I don't see the Yanks or the Phils in the series this year. I go with a repeat with the Tigers probably beating the Cards this time around. Don't be surprised if Cleveland, Arizona or Florida take a run at it.
