My husband who's a contractor is working on his first wife's milllion dollar home. She left him for his brother and abbandoned their son 25 years ago. Their son whos' now 33 seems to be the one who keeps them in contact so my husband is working on her home. I asked why he would do work for her after the hardship she cause him and he said because it's easy money. And she didn't treat me badly so why should I care? I've very upset and he knew, I would be but is doing the work anyway. He won't tell me what work or how long it will take! And he spends every Sunday with their son either riding bikes or hiking for 8 to 12 hours which makes me lonely. Please any advise would be great.

Get a bike and hiking shoes.
You resent him spending time with his son?
If he's not keen on that idea, then suggest he stop working on ex-wifes house.

when we marry someone with kids, even adult kids we have to share them, it does make us insecure, we wonder why we get left, but truth is it's a bond between them the son and father, it won't stop. maybe he doesn't know how long the work is going to take and the bond between his ex and him is the son. not much u can do about it.

I think if he really loved you he would be considerate of your feelings. The solution would be simple, find work else where. You need to talk to him about your feelings. Good luck!
