A good online rpg is Adventure quest at battleon.com. Also from there you can find another excellent rpg called Dragon Fable which resembles Final Fantasy.

All time favorite on-line game is still Ultima Online. I currently play on a player Run shard, pre patch 16 (or 15?. The patch that created Trammel and sent OSI/EA's UO to hell).
Check it out here @ http://game-master.net Since it is a player run shard, there are no fees unless you want to donate to the owner of the shard.
