WASH it. Rinsing isnt enough.

Also, dont shop at Walmart - their stuff falls apart regardless - thats why its so freakin cheap.

Swim suits are desinged like that. That's what makes you go back and buy another one. I suggest that you invest on getting a more expencive, but durable suit. For the one you have now, I suggest you not wash it as much. Just rinse it out after you swim. Washing it deteriates it. I wash my suit once a week. I rinse it good after practice; until I can not smell the water of the pool on it. I like to use a soap, but you don't have to...

Rinsing it after every use is good to do. Definately don't put it in the washing machine! Pulling it a lot (like when it's stuck to your skin) will make it stretch out faster. A good bathing suit to get is the Speedo Endurance. The material doesn't stretch or fade at all... the worst that happened to mine was that the lining ripped out after wearing it for practice every day for a year in a half.

wash with warm water and soap, rinse with cold water and hang to dry. do NOT put it in the dryer. any suits with polyester will last practically forever even if the prices are a little higher ($75), its worth it

You may want to consider misting it with a leather protector spray. The sprays make the leather water proof, so why not your bathing suit? Or try scotch gaurd?

It'll at least help. Good luck!

Try speedo endurance. special material that doesn't soak up all that chlorine. I've been using the same suit for a couple months now.

Have your tried polyester swim suits? They last FOREVER! and they dont get see through and all that junk. The Lycra one's which are the normal competetive suits only last me 1-2 months and then they ware out. Then i tried a polyester one and its lasted a long time!!! they dont ware out its great!
