I don't need a fancy one....even plastic is fine I'd like it to glow or light up.
I have already tried Ebay with no luck. Any ideas.

I do not think they produce them... I know they did at one time... but? I don't think it is something they just produce and then do again??

but I have an idea for you... if you want to try....

try writing to the editor of green lantern... or look at the creditors, write to whoever the top editor is...
let them you are a newer fan.... you really want a green lantern ring, and have been searching everywhere... but you have not had any luck.... sometimes they can direct you where to get one at a fair price... or.... sometimes, not always... if they have something like that in the office? sometimes they will be nice enough to just send it to a fan....

the only other thing I can think of? since I would imagine it would be a collectible? is try the comic shows.... someone would probably have one if they ever existed.....

John Stewart debuted in Green Lantern vol. 2 #87 (December 1971) when artist Neal Adams came up with the idea of a substitute Green Lantern. The decision to make the character black resulted from a conversation between Adams and editor Julius Schwartz, in which Adams recounts saying that given the racial makeup of the world's population, "we ought to have a black Green Lantern, not because we’re liberals, but because it just makes sense."[1] The character was DC's first black superhero.[1]

DC DIRECT put out a series of Green Lantern busts a few years back. Busts of Alan Scott, Hal Jordan and Kyle Rayner, each of them came with a replica of thier respective rings. Track one of them down and bingo you got one.
If you cant find one of them, them look for the Gaurdians around and apply for membership in the GLC. Do your training and if you survive the training regimin on OA and survive your first year in the Corps, then you will be awarded your very own ring.
Good luck either way.

If they're not on Ebay, they do sell them on the DC Direct website but they were handing them out for free at the San Diego International Comic Convention last year at hte DC booth. They been doing that for years now at the comiccons.

Oh, for a moment I thought you meant a REAL one. (I’d like to have one of those, myself!) All I can suggest is keep trying the fansites and the sites where they sell GL back issues. Maybe one or more of them offer rings. Failing all else, check out your local gumball machines!
