It means that they think you have no direction, nothing you are passionate about, nothing you are aspiring to, no spiritual connections.
In my opinon, a lost soul could just be trying to find themselves, unless you are over 30 and still trying to find yourself. If you are a teenager or in your early 20's try new things and find something you're passionate about.
