The key is to let the seller know ASAP that you didn't intend to bid on this.....you can go through the Yahoo channels and have your bid retracted and as long as you are not a frequent user of this they will help you...But you should also let the seller know.....Send them a email through ebay and tell them what happened.

CRAZY CHIC,
you should email the seller and apologize for your mistake. ask them nicely to let you out of the bid.
retract if you can, then be very careful in the future.
it is rather difficult to "accidently" bid. you have to bid, then you have to confirm that bid.
BTW, ebay will NOT suspend you over 1 bid retraction! but .they may suspend you if you make a habit of it and sellers report you.
and you are NOT legally forced to pay. this is just nonsense.
GOOD LUCK and BE MORE CAREFUL!

Go the URL I have listed and enter the item number you accidentally bid on then choose (Entered wrong amount) and then (retract bid). I have done it many times. you may have to Login to Ebay with your own ID and password. The web page reads that you should reenter your bid but it is not necessary.

Its pretty hard to bid by accident anymore..Especially sense you have to confirm the bid as a contract....You can send e-mail to seller and try to get out of it...

Hi.
Ebay has a policy that you MUST pay or suffer the consequences. If you don't follow through with your transaction, your user rating will either drop dramatically, or eBay will suspend your account, depending on how mean the seller is.
Sorry if this is not what you wanted to hear!

if you win, you're legally forced to. your best bet is to contact the seller and hope he understands, and refunds you.
