does any one know why the guys turn into the zodiac animals i think that i missed that episode?

They are are possessed by the animal spirits of the Chinese Zodiac. They transform into animals when hugged by the opposite gender, or when they are under great amounts of stress

I'm not quite sure if they fully explain why they turn to animals when under lots of stress, are sick, or are hugged by a member of the opposite sex in the anime. But the manga explains it more clearly.

the story actually is about the Souma's curse
