Get a book from the driver's license place--you can't miss many questions on the written test. I did mine on a computer.
Be prepared to wait a while. Bring a book or magazine--but not a cell phone, because sometimes you can't make calls inside the building.
Wear something cute and fix your hair--you'll be stuck with that ID for about a year, so look as good as you can.

When you walk into the DMV, two huge cops grab you and throw you in a room with a bunch of other newbies and slap you around until you can't breath, then they hand you some test and expect you to pass it...and you better! If you do pass the first written test, then you are drug across a parking lot to your parents car and slapped around some more, you must chill out and wipe the blood from your nose and buckle up, adjust your mirrors, start it up and give them the ride from hell. When you arrive back at the DMV, slap the guy right in the chops ask him "any more tests"?, take the slip from his hand and walk in and pick up your permit.
You'll be fine....just remember what you've learned so far, simple common sense tests both written ( multiple choice) and basic driving skills.

go in and tell em ur there and why. dont forget ur birth certificate and the papers, etc. then wait and then they call u. take the test to a table and start it. when ur done hand it back in and they grade it for u right there. if u pass, u get ur picture taken and they give u a slip of paper saying u have ur permit. later on they give u ur actual one in the mail. go to the website below and take the quizzes from the chapters. they have the actual questions that are on the exam. good luck!
