Hi! I have had a 10 gallon fish tank for years and love it! I would say you should definitely get a couple more guppies! They are so beautiful! and are very active! You should also get some more neon tetras they are very colorful and it looks like they glow. I love my dojo the weather loach! He is so active and I can tell when it is going to snow or be a storm because he swims around like CRAZY! I would also get some chinease algae fish and cory cat fishes they help clean the tank! I hope that helped! good luck!

More neons so that you can keep them in an appropriate school. Perhaps a small group of 4 cory cats to occupy the bottom. That would just about fill the tank up.

Algae eaters are actually poop machines - they clean algae and are filthy on the rest of the tank. Get them if you actually enjoy these fish in your tank, not as a piece of aquarium hardware - otherwise it's better to take care of algae yourself. Take care because only a couple types of algae eaters can be kept in an aquarium this size, don't go buying random pleco's.

10 gallon tank is too small for the red tailed shark, they get huge - or would if people kept them properly.

I would add about 4 more neons. They are schooling fish, and will get very stressed if there is less then 6.

You could also add a couple of female platys, but that would about max out your tank.

You might want to get an algae eater to help keep your tank clean from algae. I always liked having a red-tailed shark in my aquariums. I think they look cool.
