How many of you know that he opted out of military service in WWII? That's right, the only military service he ever saw was in the movies. What a hypocrite. His excuse was that he had four kids to look after. So did lots of other men doing active duty. It didn't stop them. Did you know he really only wanted to further his career while the good actors were away at war?

John Wayne was a great American and a great actor. Since he was in his mid-40's by WWII, you are incorrect to say that he opted out of service. In fact earlier he applied to the Naval Academy but was not accepted. You should check your facts first so that you will not make foolish statements in the future.

We revere John Wayne? Now listen....I never use the expression on here LOL because people use it when something is funny, but they aren't really LOL. So the LOL acronym gets cheapened for me. However, when I read your question I REALLY and SINCERELY L'd OL.
