These days it does'nt matter what you call your children, your choice of names sound great. It's quite acceptable these days to have a name that is suitable for both boys and girls,as long as it can pass the supermarket test ie. can you call out the name loud without it sounding too poncy or people looking at you rather strangely, you're sorted.

Can I suggest giving Emy a formal name? Emelia (Sounds similar to Amelia. From a Shakespear play), Emma, Emelne, Emmalene, Emily, Imogen (Can be shorted to Immy. Has the same sound as Emmy), etc. There are really several names that Emy could be short for. I will put a link that has a list of those names in my sources.

Rhiannon is a lovely name that sounds similar to Rae, but has feminine roots, as opposed to Rae, which, as you said, is a boy's name. Rachel is also a decent alternative.

Rae is a common girls middle name. I like the sound of Emy Grace best. Emy is cute, i like that.

Emme Rhea is an adorable girls name! I know many girls with the middle names Ray - all spelled differently too...Rae, Ray, Raye...My favorite is Rhea.

How about: Emy-Kay? Emy-Ann? Emy-Lyn? Emy-Belle?
Or Emmy Jade? Emmy Mae? Emme Paige? Emme Claire? Emy Tessa?

Good Luck! SD

Emy Rae is very cute!
Maybe Emy Rain or Emy Rayne.

Rae is a cute and common name for girls now, so don't be afraid to use it!

Also, the way you spelled the name 'Emy' looks like you would pronounce it 'ee-mee'. Try spelling it Emmy.

I think Emmy Grace sounds better :)

Good luck and congratulations!

Is Emy short for something? Emma maybe? Please remember that your child is not going to be a baby forever. She is going to be stuck with the cutesy name of "Emy" for the rest of her life. At least give her the option of using a full name. It actually looks like the way a toddler pronounces the name "Amy".
