My 13 year old step-son is visiting us for the weekend. His birthday was yesterday, and my husband, myself and our two younger sons (ages 4 and 7) want to treat him to something fun for his birthday. Anyone have any ideas that will be suitable for all of us to attend (besides Chuck-E-Cheese)?

a chum of mine gave her 13-year-old son a dance celebration for his birthday. They rented a small corridor, set up a buffet of munchies, used a good stereo equipment (however some halls have their very own for you to use) and invited the full type. that they had prizes, video games, etc. (even a cheesy disco ball!) and the youngsters enjoyed it. all and sundry had an incredible time. Ask around and notice in case you will discover a place which will hire the corridor to you at the cheap on the grounds which you will purely want it for some hours. She did it at a union corridor, however you additionally can inspect issues like Legions or service team homes. they'll in many situations enable you to employ it for a small donation in case you agree to be in charge for clean-up and any damages.

Yeh, I don't think the 4 and 7 yr olds will do very good at paintball.

Ice Skating, roller skating, movies, eating at a Japanese steak house....

stay away from Chuck-E-Cheese, great for 4 and 7, awful for 13.

If he's a video game person (nothing wrong with it, I am too), you should try an arcade (not Chuck-E-Cheese, just a local one), then go to a movie (but make sure you know what he likes, don't buy him tickets to Dreamgirls (no offense) when he likes action, but also don't go to a movie thats not family friendly)and then eat at a nice restaurant (not McDonalds, make it a place where you go in, sit down, and order, so it's more important to him).
