It's frustrating, but every "good" hockey team went through this - look at the Ottawa Senators earlier in the year, the Penguins. Even the Ducks went through a considerable slump...
Montreal fans have a real short fuse when it comes to hockey expectations...i honestly think the Habs would play better in a less critical city!
Well anyhow, here would be my 4 lines:
Latendress Koivu Ryder
Higgins Grabovksi Kovalev
Streight Bonk Johnson
Samsonov Lapierre Murray

Well, considering that the Samsonov-Bonk-Johnson line has played well lately, I'd keep them together. Samsonov was waived, but only to hopefully drum up interest in him. Since nobody bit, he will be put back into the lineup, according to Carbonneau.
Higgins Koivu Kovalev
Ryder Plekanec Latendresse
Samsonov Bonk Johnson
Streit Lapierre Perezhogin
That gives the Habs 4 serviceable lines.Ryder gets to play on a scoring line, while Bonk and Johnson can create space for Samsonov to work. Perezhogin goes back to his RW spot, Streit plays at LW, and everybody's happy.
Dandenault could also interchange nicely with Streit, since they are both F/D guys.

If I was GM/Coach I would:
Trade:
Souray, Samsonov and Aebischer
For:
Lecavalier and a 3rd round draft pick
We're deep enough in net down in Hamilton and Carey Price is up and coming very fast.
Then, my lines would be:
1st line: Latendresse - Lecavalier - Lapierre
2nd line: Higgins - Koivu - Kovalev
3rd line: Johnson - Bonk - Streit
4th line: Begin - Perezhogin - Downey

guy Boucher jumped from training interior the CHL to the NHL (albeit together with his a million-3-a million device) so there is precedent. The question is this- is Patrick Roy the main qualified candidate? NO. No AHL or NHL training adventure, and you will't rather say he's a paragon of rational behaviour. See tomjc's extraordinary clarification of Anglo coaches that the Habs have had; no longer worry-free to argue against the success that Burns and Bowman had. that is not any longer purely like the Habs have 15 French-speaking gamers (they have 3 gamers on their cutting-edge roster from Quebec; via evaluation they have 4 individuals (counting Scott Gomez), 3 Czechs and four gamers from the GTA). via this purpose they could hire Ivan Hlinka as their coach or they are in a position to attempt to hire Ron Wilson after the season if he's no longer given an extension (born in Canada, US citizen- that seems after the 4 Yanks and the 4 GTA gamers!).

I'd use my razor blade and make them about 7 inches long and about an inch thick. The more you play the more smack I give you, and if you play like crap you dont get any. That's how I'd arrange the lines.
