The Singapore government has deemed that chewing gum is immoral as punishable by 100 times flogging.

Due to recent public pressure, the government has removed the ban on Coca Cola but are redirecting their efforts of banning Pepsi now.

Go figure!!

Coke is easily available anywhere... as with Pepsi, 7-UP...

But do note that except for chewing gum with therapeutic value, the importation into Singapore of any chewing gum is prohibited under the Regulation of Imports and Exports (Chewing Gum) Regulations. The prohibition on the import of chewing gum except for those of therapeutic value is ABSOLUTE! Therefore, NO allowance is given for any person to import them even for personal consumption...

What's the big deal about chewing gum anyway... it's not like life & death situation without it. When the government banned it years ago, many were complaining... but those really affect is only a very small minority.

Hey, they are all wrong...

First te current law is, you can bring chewing gum to Singapore as long as you bring certain amount and not intending to selll to others... For personal consumtion...

As since it can bring to Singapore, you are able to chew it in Singapoire...

Singapore still allow you to chew chewing gum...

We do sell chewing gum for special case like for smokers etc..

So do not worry and singapore is not that strict on chewing gum...

Coke of coz you still can... but dun drink too much and eat too much
both high sugar.. hehe

take care

Well, drinking Coke is fine, but chewing gum in Singapore is as smart as asking a baby for the answer to 20x-10 when x=50. Remember to toss the can into the trash, or you'll be busted.

You sure can drink Coke in Singapore, but you can't chew gum. And you'll have to remember not to litter the Coke cans. Enjoy...

Yes you can. Coke is everywhere, I'm not sure where you heard the news that you can't drink it here. And while it's illegal to possess chewing gum, actually we still do it. It's like jaywalking. But make sure you dispose of it properly, otherwise the chances of being fined for littering is a lot higher.
