Somehow I managed to get my taskbar to be "two rows" tall. I can leave it at that height or drag it down until it disappears. How do I adjust the height back to the standard single row?

You should be able to simply click and drag it back down. If that does not work I would recommend turning off all of the other toolbar properties, (Like quick launch, language...etc and all those) and then try to click and drag it back down again. This is assuming that your two rows holds two pograms that are running on the task bar, top and bottom. If it only holds one and is twice as tall, maybe it is a display setting. In which case, right click on the desktop and go to Properties. Go to the first Themes tab and click on regular or windows classic to reset it to defaults. Good Luck...

First put the mouse cursor over the top edge of the taskbar. Then Click and drag it down. If that doesn't help, then try to right-click the taskbar and make sure that lock the taskbar is deselected or not checked. Then try to drag the bar back down. If that doesn't help, then you have to remove some stuff. Right-click the taskbar and then go to toolbars, and then remove what you don't need. After that, try dragging down the bar again.

Good luck!

You should be able to drag it down so it is one row tall, the same way you make it bigger or smaller. If you can't, you may have too many system tray icons. Try closing some of them. Tip: right click on your taskbar, select properties and lock the taskbar when you get it where you want it. This will prevent it from being moved.

Well first of all you have to make sure that its not locked so right click and see if it has a check next to "lock the taskbar" if it is checked just simply click on it. then you can click and drag the dashed lines to the size you would like. then once you have it where you want right click again and click on lock the taskbar so it does not move on accident.
