I'm gonna be pretty blunt when I say this. I do not care about her death, I don't feel saddened by it at all and she meant nothing to me when she was alive. I don't see this as a tragedy at all. I don't see her any different than the average Joe on the street. I believe that most Americans feel this way.

With that being said, considering the fact that millions of people die everyday and don't get reported, I don't see why the press is making a big deal about her. I mean, who is she? What great things has she accomplished? What has she done for all of this glory? All she ever did was a couple photo shoots for Playboy, married a wealthy 89 year old man for his money, and other than that her life has been up and down. All she's ever done is go after money and fame. She even sold the pictures of her dead son for $655K, how shameful is that? Why is the press giving this so much coverage when the reality is that most people do not care?

Thousands of people (in the US) who have accomplished more than she has and have done better things than she has, die everyday and not a single minute of air time goes in tribute to their lives and accomplishments. The really important members of society get nothing more than a single sentence on the bottom line (sometimes nothing) but here we have Anna Nicole Smith getting hours of coverage on every news channel, for what?

"What you really need to do is get your story straight instead of talking crap about a woman that was great"

Everything that I said was right. Research it and you will see. A woman that was great? Why don't you tell us all what was so great about her.

"and that you obviously know nothing about."

I obviously know more about her than you do. Here's a tip: read her biography next time you get the chance.

"A lot more people care than what you think!"

Isn't that a shame considering the fact that there are a million more important issues going on in the world.

NOTE: I don't hate her and I have nothing against her, however I don't believe that she was as great as some people make her seem. Also, what does me not meeting her have anything to do with what I'm writing. None of those who criticize Osama Bin Laden have met him, does that mean that they're wrong?

Count me among the annoyed. There are plenty of people more deserving of attention than Smith. Great. Let's all get weepy over a stripper and centerfold model who married an 80 year old man and probably died of a drug overdose. Big whoop.

How about some coverage for those that gave their life for their countries in Iraq instead? They actually meant something.

She didnt have to do a whole lot really. She was just widely known for all her work in Playboy and for Guess and etc. It's pretty sad that you would say such harsh things about a woman you dont even know. She never married Marshal for his money, if you ever watched her she made him wait for marriage until she could prove herself not to be a golddigger...she made her own money. She didnt sell pictures of her dead son either. What you really need to do is get your story straight instead of talking crap about a woman that was great and that you obviously know nothing about. A lot more people care than what you think!

Well its getting all this coverage by the media cause it's been a slow month for news..and they need to get as much views as they can to there channel so there station doesn't fold...
What better way of getting views then to constantly hit you with a story of someone kinda famouse dying. As I was watching CNN there was a story scrolling across the bottom of the screen about a helicopter going down and killing 7 U.S. troops in Iraq..do you think they would cover that ?? NOOO cause people lost interest in the war. They cover this crap to get sponcers and ads to keep there network going..what better way to get cash then covering a somewhat of a celebs death.

I am tired of the coverage. I do agree that her death is no more important than anyone else but I feel sympathy for her daughter who will have to grow up without her mother. I hope that no matter what she may or may not have done in her life, that someone tell her about her mother and big brother.

I'm actually not. I don't have any personal feelings towards her. But, I work in radio. So, I have to keep up with stuff like this. I had to break then news during my show yesterday. And, even today I've been getting calls from listeners still wondering how she died. Apparently there are some people who care.

Anna Nicole Smith was a beautiful woman, not that smart, and had a son that just died. Now she is dead. And now her daughter is left without a mother. You sir are a mean and rude person.

Pick me, pick me. Just the day before her death I was yelling at my TV while watching ET because I was already sick of seeing her on my TV every night for 5 months.

She was nothing more then a glorified stripper with a drug problem and doesn't warrant the media attention that she is given.

Did you know she has implants OVER her implants? Yes - double implants....

Personally, I feel this is yet another smoke screen designed to get us to not focus on the fact that in the past two weeks, the violence in Iraq has worsened...

yes..maybe she did go after money and fame...that's what makes her famous or infamous if you will...just like Marilyn Monroe. You need to get over your whatever it is that's makin you hate someone you obviously never met...it's gonna stay on TV weather you like it or not...and for a long time...so once again...get over it!!
