I am 6 wks pregnant and want to know what safe exercises I can do

you can do any low key exercises, and they even sell prenatal work out videos that you can do for as long as your pregnant. just talk to your dr and make sure you have a low risk pregnancy before starting any workout though. and dont forget to kegal!! Good luck and God bless!

During the first trimester you can do almost anything--just be more careful and aware that you are pregnant--and if you feel differnt--stop the exercise--For instance--my sister is a yoga instructor and got pregnant--she is in great shape so thought she could just keep teaching and working out--but her ligaments adn muscles, etc..starting getting achy and feeling tender--so she stopped--your body is changing every day now--in prepartion for your growing child, etc..so listen to your body --do what feels right--i wouldn't take up any NEW exercises--just stick with what you know--and swimming and walking are the two most often recommended--

Let me just tell you this-back in the day when we were 2 months or more pregnant before we even know we were pregnant we did anything and everything, bent over and planted garden. Reached up and hung sheets. Beat rugs. Rode horses. Unless your doctor says different you can safely do what ever you want including continuiing a healthy sex life until birth. I did and delivered the next morning.

Everything is OK now. Why don't you start with a walking or cycling work out and add yoga. There is specialized yoga for pre- and post-partum. Yoga is calming and relaxing, too. If you learn breathing exercises this earl, you will be way ahead if you choose natural childbirth methods.

all exercise are safe untill your second trimester after that i suggest you ask your doctor
