I got my kingsnake back in about november and she was a baby. She has been doing great, eatting well, shedding regularly. She is about and foot and a half and i am still feeding her pinkys because the pet shop told me she wasnt big enough for fuzzies yet. The thing is she is hugary allll the time. I want to feed her a little more to help that and also get her ready for fuzzies since they are larger but i am not sure if i should feed her more often (as if right now i feed her like every 3 days) or to feed her two pinkys at one feeding. If someone with knowledge in this subject could answer this for me i would really apreciate it!

the general rule for feeding snakes is ,prey size should be up to 1&1/2 x bigger than the thickest part of there body ,if there's not much of a lump after feeding you should move up in size... feed them one mouse, size till there's hardly a lump then try 2 for a few feedings then move up in size to one mouse.
and babys can be fed every 5 days ... every 3 days i would say is too much... yearlings fed every 7 days and adults every 10,also it is not recomended to handle your snake for 48 hrs after feeding, hope this helped :) p.s petstores usually dont know much about reptiles

You should be feeding her at least 3-4 pinkies at a time now. Gradually you can introduce a fuzzy with a pinkie first. If she doesn't eat the fuzzy, substitute a couple more pinkies. I have a male high white Cal. King & he's about 14mo. old & is nearly 4ft & he eats 3-4 hoppers or 2-3 full grown mice /meal every 10 days.

Get to a puppy keep quickly & take the measurements of the best of the tank with you. you want a lid it quite is amazingly tight and also has clips to fasten it down. you are able to %. up countless those products on the puppy shop and also you actually choose them. A boot is not in any respect going to end your snake from escaping & next time, you may not discover it. As many others have reported, use frozen pinkies to feed your snake. At that length, this snake ought to devour countless at one feeding.

feed her every 4 days or once a week and as the food gets larger, the days you do not feed her get longer in between. once you get to mice, feed her once a week.. Fuzzies will be OK for that size and you can start feeding her those.

it would be a bit easier to say if I knew what kind of king snake you had. but remember this its a king snake it will kill if a fuzzy is to big it wont hurt it at this stage prey pose no threat i breed a few geckos species and the florida king and by that length all of my kings would have been eating multiple fuzzys and the fuzzy will make your king grow faster
