the judge did order the DNA test and there is a hearing about it on the 20th. He just ordered that he body be held until that hearing so that he could decide whether or not to get her DNA in case of a baby switch.

There has been a DNA test ordered for the baby. The most current issue in the courts involving the DNA was a request for Anna Nicole to be DNA tested, with the reasoning being protecting the integrity of a paternity test (i.e. switching Danillelyn with another baby.) That has not been ordered or denied, the judge has requested 10 days to review the cases.

I thought there was an order with a "done by" date in place. If a judge hasn't ordered a dna test, then I would guess that the courts are after the money too.

Whether to test the baby's DNA to see who the father is was a question before ANS died. I understand part of the issue had to do with the fact the baby wasn't in the U.S. at the time. I don't know any more about that.
Now, however, someone wants ANS' DNA. There's no reason to get her DNA as no one is arguing about whether she's the baby's mother. The judge probably is not letting them take her DNA because no one has given a sufficient reason to do it.

They will, too much rides on who the baby daddy is now with her dead. What they probably won't do is order a DNA test on Anna Nicole herself as was requested by her ex boyfriend Birkhead. Who knows why he'd request that???

They can't order DNA tests for every guy she's slept with or the poor baby would have no DNA left.

The judge did order a test and she was ordered to bring the baby for a test sometime this month.

Because it's considered an invasive procedure, one violative of privacy rights. You must show some proffer that the evidence you are seeking (dna) is needed in a legally acceptable capacity. They are not done without legal necessity.

I don't know and I've always wondered it. I think it will now happen and be expedited given the tragedy of her death. Did you see Yahoo news that Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband thinks he is the father? He's 146 years old if he's a day! He is saying he was seeing her during the period of time she conceived. Amazing.
