Hi i need some advice guys. I am quite a shy person and i was actually starting to get somewhere with my work colleagues ie them starting to get who i am etc... Well weve recently had new starters in october of last year and the people who i was putting the effort in with and was getting some response from seem to want to bother more with the new girls more than me and its like im not as interesting to them anymore. The one is really friendly and tends to ponce on all the guys i realise that its because they are first contact in the office as theyre by the door but how do i regain my friendship with people. As i have withdrawn alittle from peeps as i feel not as interesting as the new gals and even on work dos its them who the guys want to speak to

show interest in them, ask them questions and be patient, people like attention. Dont shy away, just make the step and you will see with time it gets easier.

carry on with what you were doing but do it with the new people too! it's probably not that the others are more interested in the new people than you, it's just that you're seeing it that way possibly because it seems easier for them to make friends that you do? if so it doesn't make them better than you, it's just that they're different.
keep going with it, you need to give people a chance to get to know you, that just takes longer with some people than others.
