I have no geographical connections to England and am trying to pick a team. Leaning against the big 4 except for maybe Liverpool. Spurs, Newcsatle, and Blackburn are my other main choices.

I don't want to go on the best team or the best players per say. I want to pick a club not a squad bc in 10 years or so, there will be a completely different set of players.

Well you could look at the clubs' history. Who founded what, when and why. Also, I think past club managers and ex-players should be looked on. You may also want to look for the meanings for what the club stands. Wins are crucial.

Do you have friends who also watch EPL games? If you do, maybe you can support the same team that they like. Do you know any popular EPL players that you like? You can start from there. Learn as much about that player, the other team members, the team history and watch their games, and slowly become a fanatic for that team. You have start somewhere. Not all of us have the benefit of being exposed to EPL or football since childhood and rooting for the same team since childhood. But that shouldn't stop you from starting to become a fan of an EPL team. Pick a team, any team, and go with it.
I started watching EPL and supporting Man U in 2000 because I was dating a guy who's a Man U fan. We're no longer together but I'm still a Man U fan. Plus now I also watch Serie A and La Liga.

If you're American, support Fulham. They have 3 Americans on the team. Also, now that a few teams are owned by Americans, they'll probably be traveling here during the summer for preseason tours.

I myself am a Chelsea fan but that's just because my father is also been a Chelsea fan for 20 years not because they have been winning lately. If your looking to the future you should either go for Arsenal or Chelsea. Arsenal because they have many many great young players. Chelsea because they have spent millions on their youth system this year.

this year you might like Man U because they look good on the chart, next year you might like Chelsea, in year 2009 you might like Arsenal..
If you need someone to tell you which team you should pick, then I am sorry, you're not a real fan of any team.
